Two petitioning candidates, Ben Walker and Dennis Bradley, won a spot on the ballot for a Bridgeport Board of Education seat Wednesday night – though the final spot is yet to be determined.
According to the Connecticut Post, Faith Harrison-Villegas and former BOE member Maria Pereira are tied for third place with 5,609 votes each in the unofficial results. This means a recount will take place. It also means that incumbents Kadisha Coates and Hernan Illingworth will not be on the Democratic line in November.
Here’s the full unofficially tally:
Dennis Bradley – 5,811
Ben Walker – 5,648
Faith Harrison-Villegas – 5,609
Maria Pereira – 5,609
Kadisha Coates – 5,425
Hernan Illingworth – 5,188
