About two weeks ago, Superintendents Paul Vallas began a new series of “State of the Schools” community meetings–much like the ones held shortly after he came to the district. So far, Vallas has been to both Jettie S. Tisdale and Black Rock Schools.
The third community meeting will be held at Luis Muñoz Marín School at 5:30 on October 17th and will be co-sponsored by Marín School’s Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) as part of the Parent and Children Education Expo. In addition, the event will also feature a bullying prevention presentation by CT Against Violence, which will provide information on local resources for parents and students.
Much like the last two meetings, there will be a Q&A session after the presentations, and the Superintendent and his staff will be around to answer questions after the meeting.
Two more meetings have been scheduled for October: Thursday, October 24th, and Wednesday, October 30th; however, locations have not been released yet.
