In the absence of any real polling to show how much of a joke Jon Pelto’s run for governor really is, today I turned to Twitter.
Below are a selection — just a few, really — of the many recent tweets from Connecticut residents that question the honesty and validity of Pelto’s “candidacy.”
Hartford Courant Columnist Jim Shea:
If Jonathan Pelto dislikes Malloy, he’s going to really hate Gov. Foley.

Hartford Courant Columnist and Author Susan Jane Bigelow:
Let’s be 100% clear: there is no way, save magic white horsies manipulating voters’ minds, for Jon Pelto to win more than 5% of the vote.

So is this running to make a point, an Ahab-chasing-the-white-whale sort of deal, or a little of both?

Political Strategist Patrick Scully:
Pelto Would Help Elect a Republican Governor if he can Stick it to Malloy http://t.co/DZPb2rcX0L #generalnews

Other folks:
As I said previously, it’s inconceivable Working Families would endorse Pelto, but Green Party is another matter http://t.co/wMDYdBn6p0 …
