According to the Connecticut Post, the nine registered Democrats who expressed interest in the seat left open by Jacqueline Kelleher will have a mere ten minutes to woo Bridgeport Board of Education members.
On Monday night, the BOE plans to interview potential members during a 90-minute special session prior to their first regular meeting of the year— leaving even less time per-candidate than when they replaced John Bagley last year.
Originally posted by the CT Post, here is a list of the potential candidates and times they’ll be speaking:
1) Ben Walker – 5:00 PM
2) Mary Kathleen (Kate) Rivera – 5:10 PM
3) Rev. Emanuel Reasor – 5:20 PM
4) Ivan Whyte – 5:30 PM
5) Gail Janensch – 5:40 PM
6) Michelle Robinson – 5:50 PM
7) Aphia Griffiths – 6:00 PM
8) James Shannon Jr. – 6:10 PM
9) Faith Harrison-Villegas – 6:20 PM
The meeting is set for 5 P.M. at the new Roosevelt School, 680 Park Avenue. If you can’t make it out, I’ll be live tweeting from @EduBridgeport with the latest updates.
